Fresh from returning from his first ever Australian Tour, Joel Corry kicked off 2020 with the release of his anthemic new single, ‘Lonely’, which spent 10 weeks in the UK Top 10 and has now been officially Certified Platinum!
Teased in his DJ sets over the last few months, ‘Lonely’ is a natural extension of the undeniable, feel-good club aesthetic Joel has come to embody. Featuring a trademark, booming lo-slung bassline and an infectious, earworm vocal hook by collaborator Harlee, it feels primed to make a big mark on dance floors across the UK and beyond.
The official video sees Joel don a doctor’s outfit and prescribe some much-needed dance therapy!
‘Lonely’ follows the unprecedented success of Joel’s breakthrough single ‘Sorry’ – a thumping re-work of Monsta Boy’s UKG classic of the same name – which spent 10 weeks in the UK Top 10, peaking at #6, and broke Shazam’s all-time daily record in the UK after receiving over 41,000 tags in one 24-hour period last summer. Joel also toured extensively across throughout 2019, as well as making his debut at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball and Top Of The Pops’ Christmas Day & New Year specials alongside the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Freya Ridings and Stormzy.
